The Nursery is Ready

We've got the nursery done, now we just need a baby to put in it!

Here's the crib. Rachel made all the crib bedding for us and she did an incredible job! The 'Natalie' decal was a gift from Jenni. I love it!

My mom made a cornice over the window with the fabrics we used for the bedding. I love how it pulls the room together! We splurged on the chair...its rocks, it glides, it reclines...ahhh.

Here's a close-up of the quilt that Rachel made with the fabrics. She's a wizard with the sewing machine, isn't she?

Here's the dresser and the all-important Diaper Champ.

A close-up of the prints above the dresser. I found these on Etsy and had them framed. I love how they turned out!

Showered

These 2 ladies know how to throw a party!
My mom and her best pal, Loretta, threw a baby shower luncheon for me a couple weeks back. As you can imagine, everything was done to perfection...the food, favors, flowers, tables, everything! Thank you so much for spoiling me with this wonderful day!
And thank you to everyone that was able to come! I feel so fortunate for the love and support and can't hardly wait for you to meet Baby Natalie!

37 Weeks

Technically, I have 3 more weeks, but we're ready for her to come now!

A Masterpiece

About a month ago, DeDe and Val hosted a baby shower for me with a group of long-time family friends from the old neighborhood. I don't get to see these ladies very often, so it was fun to be able to hang out with them for the afternoon and visit!
DeDe had everyone decorate a onesie for Baby Natalie. I think I can safely say that most of us have relatively modest artistic talent and with a little wine mixed in (except me, of course), we had some exciting results. Behold Val's masterpiece...
I'm sure our little Natalie will look beautiful wearing this home from the hospital. :)
I thought about showing June's handy work as well but I'm afraid its PG-13 and not suitable for all viewers!
Thanks again, DeDe and Val, for a fun afternoon!

New Garden

Dani and I decided to plant a garden a couple of weeks ago. So I went down to the Home Depot and bought the materials to build a raised garden bed. We planted tomatoes, lettuce, pumpkins, beans, and cucumbers. So far everything is sprouting and we are looking forward to some fresh veggies. We will be sure to update with the progress.

Well I'm back in Singapore again

The one great thing about coming here is the people are always so great. I came into the office this morning and was greeted with a welcome to Singapore message coupled with the below photo on our office's 50 inch flat screen tv's that scroll announcements all day. :
Looks about right to me!

Trip to Medford

We spent the weekend of the 12th in Medford visiting my family. My cousins, Leslie and Mickie, threw the baby and I a shower on Saturday afternoon. It was sure nice to see everyone! It made me feel even more excited about our coming arrival!

Leslie and Mickie - Thank you so much for such a special day! I love you guys.

Here are a few pictures....

Mom and I....and Baby

Me and Baby, Mom, Grandma, and Rachel...4 generations. Justin's mom (Rachel) and Aunt Sherry made the trip down as well to spend the day with us!

Check out how cool this tree is that Aunt Jan made. The little bags hanging on it were filled with baby treats. The only bad news....one had a baby-sized pecan roll in it...which is basically equivalent to receiving a lump of coal in your stocking. :)

Rachel and Gary gave us this onesie...it says "I'm told I like golf". Love it!

How cute is this cake? Looked like a little bassinett and tasted like heaven.
These are a few pictures of the post-shower festivities:
Dave is so thoughtful....making me and my belly feel right at home. :)

Uncle Rich and I. Many thanks to Uncle Rich and Aunt Jan for hosting the day at their house!
